Roger Burtonpatel

Roger is passionate about rhythm and connection. He's involved in running his high school's Samba Drumming Club, teaching in a classroom for underprivileged children in the South End of Boston, and continuing music composition for his high school's Theater department. His goals for the year are to explore the music and culture of Brazil, to share stories and laughs with other Global Citizen Year fellows, and to enjoy the start of a new chapter of his life. "Little by little, one travels far." J.R.R. Tolkien's simple wisdom and quiet worldliness have helped me make each little step. Roger is participating in Global Citizen Year through our partnership with the Tufts 1+4 program.
