Organization of thoughts

I never thought a summer job at a restaurant could teach me so many things. I currently work at Antelope Point Marina on Lake Powell, the world’s largest floating restaurant. A sudden shortage of staff led to having no other choice but to have half of the employees work more or less 14 hour days, 6 days a week. That’s what I’ve been up to, and thank God I was able to find this wonderful day off and write this blog post. Today it is hitting me just how many things I must get done before August 15th, and that positivity and a clean mind are the only way to get all my thoughts neatly organized, so all these crazy things can get done.

Work, Summer Campaign, Summer reading, fundraising, and squeezing every drop of awesome out of my beautiful Lake Powell home before I take off to a new exciting land. It can be extremely overwhelming, as I’m sure all of you are experiencing right about now as well. There have been a few split moments where I stare at my to-do list, and just wonder if there is any way at all that it can ever be completed. It is so important to realize that after these moments pass, it is officially time to get off of our butts (or stay on them, if you’re blogging of course) and get these things done!! Procrastination is such a killer of positive energy, and creates worry, stress, and restlessness. So for all those of you out there in the GCY Universe who are dealing with working more than full time, becoming overwhelmed with stress…crank up the tunes, take a deep breath, and just GET IT DONE. I hope you’re all having a splendid day, can’t wait for this adventure!
