Barker Carlock

Barker Carlock is an engineer, artist, and strategist that holds a strong interest in social impact ventures and global development as they relate to the energy sector. He believes in the importance of book matching purpose-driven intent with quantitative appraisal.
Originally from Dallas, Texas, he was a Global Citizen Year fellow in Senegal from 2012-2013. Barker is a recent graduate from Lafayette College where he received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering with Honors. Through his time there, he interned with companies like ExxonMobil and Tesla Motors as well as gleaned an array of non-profit, start-up, and academic research experience. In his last year in school, Barker worked with some of his peers to start a bioplastics company—Gel Labs. Today, Barker is living in Oakland and working in the technology space before he continues further into his career.
