For over a decade, Global Citizen Year has provided innovative and immersive learning programs to thousands of young people from around the world equipping them with the perspectives, skills and networks needed to create meaningful impact on local and global issues.

These collective efforts have inspired us to launch our newest program: Take Action Lab, a pioneering immersive educational experience. This immersive learning program recruits promising future changemakers from across the globe and helps them develop the emotional and intellectual toolkit needed to drive social impact throughout their lives. Employer Match

Enhance the impact of your generosity with employer matching! A large number of corporations offer to match donations made by their employees, spouses, and even retirees to Global Citizen Year.

Please include your name, postal address, telephone number and/or email address. This information is crucial for us to send you a tax receipt and express our appreciation for your generosity.

Give by Stock or Wire Transfer

Please email us at Donate@globalcitizenyear.org to notify us that you intend to donate stock. We will provide the necessary transfer information and direct your gift appropriately. We can support you in initiating the stock transfer electronically or by mail with your brokerage firm. Stock is valued by taking the average of the high and low prices of the date of the transfer.

By Donor Advised Fund (DAF)

There are 3 options to give through a donor-advised fund:

  1. Recommend a DAF grant through your financial institution or foundation
  2. Contact your fund manager and recommend supporting Global Citizen Year
  3. Already have a donor-advised fund via Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or BNY Mellon Charitable Gift Fund? Use the widget below:

By Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD)

For individuals aged 70 ½ or older, making a qualified charitable distribution directly from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA) to Global Citizen Year is a seamless process. Simply contact your IRA administrator to begin. They might require the address of Global Citizen Year, which is 1625 Clay Street, Suite 400, Oakland, CA 94612.

You can support Global Citizen Year through a variety of legacy gift options, including retirement plan assets, life insurance policies, bequests, and trusts.
