Ready to go, once more.

Many people around me question my desitions strongly.

“Why did you leave Greece for two years to go to Armenia? Why are you not going to college straight away?”

And this discussion continues with many telling me

“Sofia, you are 19 years old, it is already late”.

“Is not !”
I am answering, and my thoughts are screaming in my mind like bees.

It is late for what? University is an institution that can wait, but I am a human with needs, wants, emotions and curiosity that cannot wait. I cannot pause my life because society wants that. I love exploring, learning and engaging and this is what I will do, even if you don’t like it…

I don’t share a word. People are busy complaining about my desitions than hearing my why. They will not listen to me, because no one wants to change and to step away from their comfort zone. I am doing that, and I realize that I cannot change anyone in this world, not even a single opinion that they have about me or the environment or life in general.

Something that I can change is my point of view, my way of interpreting the world around me and the world within me…

And the complaints continue.

“What are you going to do in Brazil? You know no one there, and you don’t even speak Portuguese. Sofia, you are crazy!”

I can say that the majority of people that know me will agree on that.

But let me ask you something. Is it crazy to explore, to travel, to meet new people and to capture the world that surrounds you in pictures? Is it crazy to want to give back in the world that helps you to become the person that you are right now? Is it crazy to want to know and to explore your self?

For me, the word crazy doesn’t fit with this context; it is daring. And the questions turn all the way around.

Do you dare to explore, to travel, to meet new people and to capture the world that surrounds you in pictures? Do you dare to give back in the world that helped you to become the person that you are right now? Do you dare to know and explore your self?
