O poema de quem me tornei / The poem of who I’ve become

pelas culturas ricas e

pelas cores ricas e

pelas montanhas ricas e

pelas pessoas ricas.

Pela riqueza de alma,

tão bom,

estar rodeado dela.

Ainda melhor,

saber onde a encontrar.

I wrote this poem in Shillong, northeast India, observing the sun go down a river which ended in itself. Far away, a man rowing.

Oh the passion I feel

as I watch a man row away

the enormity of his dreams.

Oh the passion I feel inside my body,

frozen and permanent,

by the magic paralyzed by the suddenly too serious now.

Oh the passion I feel for what is mine and for that which will never be,

for the rich cultures and

for the rich colours and

for the rich mountains and

for the rich people.

Enriching souls,

so good,

to be surrounded by.

Even better,

to know where to be found.
