Little things

I forgot to mention some logistical things when updating my blog posts..so here you go 🙂

We started with 50 Ecuador fellows at Stanford.

Our cohort of 50 was split into the Northern Hub and Southern Hub.

I am in the South. In the Southern Hub, there are three groups of 10 each. My group (the best group) had Diana as our team leader!!

I live in Ricaurte, in the Province of Azuay. It’s about 20 minutes from the hub city of Cuenca.

My family is wonderful, consisting of my parents, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Every weekend we play volleyball at abuelita’s with my host mom’s 10 siblings and their spouses/children. Below is Mayra (my sister), Santi and Romi (my cousins), and Andres (my nephew). Some of many.

My apprenticeship is at the Centro de Infantil del Buen Vivir de Ricaurte. Here’s a sneak peek:

And a fun fact: I’ve found Indian, Japanese, Thai, and Vietnamese restaurants in Cuenca!!
