Introducing: The Faye Family

Hello Sánchez Family!

So as you know, you will be arriving to the wonderful, magnificent, sensational Senegal in only a matter of days. “YAY!” And guess what, people already know your names. So many people in my village are very anxious for your arrival, including me, and they cant wait to meet you. To make your lives a little easier, I’d thought I’d do a little introduction to my family, because their names are not exactly the easiest to remember.

This is my father. His name is Augustin Faye. He owns one of the five boutiques in my village. He is really smart, so you are bound to have some sort of deep conversation with him. He comes off as kind of serious, but once you get to know him, he is a pretty cool guy.

This is my mother. Her name is Genevieve Ndeye Fatou Ngom, but you can just call her Ndeye. You guys are really going to like her. She will most probably have you help out with one of the meals, because she loves to cook.

This is my 8 year old brother, Réné Bartéléni Ngor Faye, but you can just call him Réné. He is pretty sociable, so dont worry to much about him. He loves to play soccer. So, Dad and Bijan, you guys will have a lot of fun with him.

This is my 6 year old sister. Her name is François Agathe Faye, but you can just call her Agathe. She is pretty shy, but once you get to know her, she will start opening up. She just recently lost her tooth, as you can see in the picture. So she is just getting used to eating without her front tooth.

This is my 2 year old brother Jean Simeôn Faye. He is really funny. He has a lot of energy, so get ready for that. He also loves eating sweets, so try not to show off many candies to him, because he will come running up to you, and he will not take no for an answer.

Lastly, this is my 8 month old sister. Beautiful huh? Her name is, Liydie Louise Dieynaba Faye. But we just call her Liydie. She is really cute, and she does well with strangers, so dont worry about her crying or anything. She is also just learning to speak and walk, so have your cameras ready.

I cannot wait to see you guys. Have fun watching movies on the plane and such 🙂

I will see you soon!

Much love,

Semira Sánchez (aka Daba nga Faye)
