About Mouna Algahaithi
Mouna aims to become a global leader and inspire nations to make changes by globally addressing a broader notion of human rights issues that includes culture, language, religion, and socioeconomic and political issues. She has already lived and studied in several different countries and regions including Oman, Yemen, St. Croix (USVI), Puerto Rico, and Morocco. In one year of high school, Mouna created branches of two student organizations: Amnesty International, which promotes student activism and awareness campaigns, and Muslim Student Association, which raises awareness on Islamic politics and aspects. She loves meeting new people from different cultures and backgrounds, and travelling is one of her favorite things to do. Mouna's goals for the year are to learn a new language, to make a difference in a community, to make lifelong friends, and to accept challenges with the belief that if you set your mind to it, you can accomplish anything.
