An intensive, 12-week leadership experience that equips students worldwide with powerful skills for a lifetime of social impact. Designed as a 5-7 hour per week commitment, the Academy adds an enriching layer of purpose to high school, college, travel, or work.
A deep, 8-month immersion where students live alongside the global majority in Brazil, Ecuador or India and develop the insights, skills, and network to become the leaders our world needs. Fellows build language fluency, develop resilience, and become part of a community a world away from home.
I am not the same person who left the United States
I am not who I once was, and I will never be that person again. I am not sure who I will become, but whoever that is, I know that it is who I want to be. Who I have wanted to be for a long time.
I have never felt so different.
I have never felt so free.
Peace be with you all
About Mason J. Sedlack
Mason is passionate about language and culture. He is involved in the training of self-defense to young men and women, assisting in giving students opportunities to act and preform on stage or camera, and talking to Middle Eastern refugees in Arabic to help them feel more comfortable in the United States. His goals for the year are to gain new understanding of Senegalese culture, learn more about Islam and the social and economic impacts of the religion, and enjoy new experiences in Senegal. His favorite quote is, "People who live within their means suffer from a lack of imagination." -Oscar Wilde
