~ First time I went to Touba, where the great big mosque is located. It was an amazing experience. I woke up one day and I told my host brother that we should go, we got on a bus and left. the ride was long from where I live. I always felt like I wasn’t allowed to walk in a mosque, felt like I was doing something wrong but when my brother asked me if I wanted to go in, I immediately said yes. Walking through it felt like I was walking through air. We had to take off our shoes and I had to cover my head. The outside is huge and the mosque itself it’s beautiful. The inside has really cool designs, I was very impressed. I literally left very happy. I got to see one of the libraries that is right in front of the mosque and I also got to see the cemetery. I would definitely go again!
