Rocío is committed to expanding access to high-quality educational opportunities for all students. She has experience working in school operations, higher education, and teaching and learning. She now works on the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) Team where she manages systems and processes that equip the organization to make data-informed decisions. Rocío’s passion for working in education and social impact is rooted in her personal journey as an immigrant, first-generation college student, and daughter of migrant farm workers. During her free time, she enjoys reading, dancing, hiking, and playing board games. Prior to joining Global Citizen Year, Rocío worked at KIPP Public Schools and Achievement First in New York City. Rocío holds a B.A. in Political Science and an M.A. in Urban Education Policy from Brown University.
