Aziza Musa

Aziza Musa joined Global Citizen Year as the organization’s inaugural Chief External Affairs Officer on September 1st, 2023. She began her career with Charity Navigator, where she gained unparalleled experience in the evaluation of the nation’s largest health, international relief, and education organizations such as The International Red Cross, Oxfam and Harvard University. 

 

In the nearly 20 years since, she has worked with philanthropic leaders to advance the impact of equity-related causes. Most recently, she served as Health Leads’ Vice President of Business Partnerships & Investor Relations where she oversaw the Development, Earned Revenue, and Partnerships Marketing & Communications divisions. Prior to her role at Health Leads, she led the development efforts for Teach For America in New Jersey, served as the head of EdTech sales for Cambridge based company, BetterLesson; and as a Management and Talent Strategy Consultant for cross-sector clients in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

 

Aziza proudly sits on the boards of BuildX, a crowdfunding social enterprise platform, and Giving Well International, which makes capital healthcare investments aimed at strengthening health systems in the Middle East.

 

She earned a master of social work and management of human services degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Today, Aziza lives in the greater Boston area with her husband and three children.
