Program Associate

About this role

The Program Associate plays a key role in the implementation of Global Citizen Year’s Academy and Fellowship programs. They maintain and improve technology platforms, systems and communications to ensure our participants have an excellent experience and we accomplish our ambitious program goals. The Program Associate reports directly to the Program Operations Manager. They will also work closely with the Chief Program Officer and wider Programs team, providing vital administrative support that helps the team perform at the highest level.

Your opportunity for impact

Program Technology & Systems : Maintain and improve program technology platforms and systems.

  • Keep our database, dashboards, and other systems up to date and running smoothly
  • Look for opportunities to streamline and automate processes to make life easier for everyone

Administrative support: Keep the programs team organized and informed so they can operate at a high level.

  • Manage program calendars, conduct research, and complete special projects
  • Support the Chief Program Officer, including managing calendar, preparing documents and presentations, conducting research, and other special projects
  • Support event logistics, from team gatherings to large program events

Communications: Help ensure program stakeholders have all the right information at the right time.

  • Maintain program info email account
  • Draft communications, including emails, letters, and presentations

The following skills are required:

  • Comfortable using and learning new technology; Enjoys finding new ways to use technology for greater impact
  • Proficient with our basic tech tools - MS Office, Google Suite
  • Effective communicator: written, verbal and Google slide presentations
  • Experience planning and running events

Bonus points if have/are:

  • Prior experience with databases (Salesforce or other CRMs), Learning Management Systems, and/or Mailchimp
  • Experience living and/or working within a diverse and multicultural environment

  • Help us launch our 2nd and most successful year of the Global Citizen Year Academy.
  • Play a critical role helping the program team find greater efficiencies and increase our impact.
  • Support the execution of events (remote and eventually in-person) that engage and inspire participants.
