About this role

The Partnerships & Outreach Associate is a critical external-facing role to help us recruit the next generation of young changemakers who care deeply about our world and its challenges. This role will support and steward Global Citizen Year’s external partnerships with organizations, high schools, colleges, corporations and more. The Associate will help manage and deepen existing partnerships as well as surface and launch new partnerships. As part of the Growth Team, the Partnerships & Outreach Associate will play a huge part in Global Citizen Year’s next chapter, as we work increasingly with partners to increase our impact in the world.

Your Opportunity for Impact

Recruit the next generation of leaders to Global Citizen Year: Manage and execute our recruitment partnerships with colleges, high schools, organizations and more.

  • Support our established recruitment partners to find great students for our programs.
    • Ensure that all relevant parties have marketing materials about Global Citizen Year programs to share with their student communities
    • Schedule and host information sessions for partners as-needed
    • Utilize our Nominator Program through our partnerships to identify high quality applicants from recruitment partners
    • Develop communications and outreach materials
  • Liaise with our Admissions team to help steward qualified applicants through the application process
  • Find ways to creatively share and market Global Citizen Year programs to partners to attract qualified applicants
  • Manage and track dashboards for partnerships

Identify, launch, and manage new partner prospects: Work with the Partnerships Manager and VP of Growth to build new game-changing partnerships

  • Research new potential partners to support Global Citizen Year student recruitment and growth goals
  • Coordinate and execute outreach strategies for new potential partners; account manage relationships once established
  • Onboard new partners and manage relationships with existing partners - partnerships include colleges, organizations, high schools and more
  • Ensure Global Citizen Year and its partners meet the goals of the partnership and mobilize high quality applications to our programs.

The following skills are required:

  • Demonstrated skills in project management (internal) and account management (external)
  • Experience using Salesforce or another CRM to manage pipelines and accounts
  • Ability to understand and operate within competing priorities and find opportunities to create value for all stakeholders.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills and experience building and delivering presentations to important stakeholder groups.

Bonus points if have/are:

  • Are a Global Citizen Year alumni and are energized at the idea of building on your program experience to help find amazing young leaders
  • Experience with Adobe Suite or Canva or equivalent design software

Position Logistics

Location: Global Citizen Year is headquartered in Oakland CA, but currently our staff is working remotely. This position is remote-viable.

Start date: We are prioritizing applications received by December 3, 2021; ideal start date is January 14, 2022

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $55,000 to $62,000. We are proud to provide a total compensation package that puts the person first. You can learn more about our benefits here.
