Partnership Associate

The Partnerships Associate will support and steward Global Citizen Year’s external partnerships with educators, including: our nominator program for high schools, our partnerships with public school districts and educational organizations, and our growing list of college and university partners. The Associate will help expand these educator partnerships and ensure that they are mobilizing high quality applicants to Global Citizen Year.

Position Responsibilties

The Partnerships Associate will be responsible for:

  • Research and develop outreach strategies for new potential partner colleges, including through engaging Global Citizen Year alumni
  • Onboard new college partners and manage relationships with existing college partners
  • Manage and execute outreach to educators at high schools to mobilize them as Global Citizen Year nominators
  • Research and develop outreach strategies for new potential partners (groups of schools, groups of teachers), and account manage these relationships once established
  • Support our established district partners in DC and Chicago throughout the Fellow nomination and selection process
  • Manage and track dashboards for college partnerships and for the educator nominator program; lead on regular reporting of growth metrics
  • Develop communications and outreach materials for both college partners and high school partners
  • Liaison to Admissions team to help steward qualified applicants coming in through college and school district partnerships

  • Demonstrated skills in project management (internal) and account management (external)
  • Organized and thorough, with consistent follow-through and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent people skills – ability to connect, empathize, build trust, establish credibility
  • Full competency in Microsoft Office suite including Powerpoint and Excel; comfortable learning and navigating new database systems
  • Preferably some work experience in the education sector
