Global Citizen Year seeks an entrepreneurial and ambitious professional to lead our team and program in Brazil. S/he will develop and oversee the program in the country, lead a team of talented employees, deepen our local networks, provide the strategic leadership and operational expertise for significant growth in the coming years.
The Brazil Country Director will be a resourceful and seasoned international development and/or education professional with a passion for translating the Global Citizen Year program model in the Brazilian context. S/he will bring a broad, cross-sector network and experience working/living across Brazilian and American cultures. Additionally s/he will have a successful track record designing and building programs, hiring and managing high performing teams, overseeing complex operations, and bridging local realities and global organizational strategies.
As a member of the Global Programs Leadership Team, the Brazilian Country Director will not only lead Brazil country operations, but will also participate in strategic thought partnerships and activities to drive the global program teams forward. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Programs, and will manage the Program Manager, Health & Safety Manager, Operations Manager, Team Leaders and support staff.
