Shea Kerry

Shea Kerry is passionate about helping people, medicine, the outdoors, and traveling. She is involved in sports and the community garden and loves to embrace the spirit of volunteerism with a community and global commitment to help others. Her goals for the year are to embrace the culture of Senegal, learn a new language, push her comfort zone, make new friends, and live in the moment. She loves sewing, photography, trying new foods, and volunteering. When she comes back home she will be attending Georgia Institute of Technology to study Biomedical Engineering on the Pre-Med track. Shea wants to help people all over the world with new ways to provide healthcare and create new technology to make healthcare more affordable and help people live an easier and healthier life. Shea’s favorite quote is by Audrey Hepburn, "As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands: one for helping yourself, the other for helping others." Shea is motivated to make a difference in the world.
