Sammy was born and raised in Kenya, and moved to Pittsfield, Maine as a high school sophomore. He is trilingual, and speaks Kikuyu, Swahili, and English. He is an ambassador for equality, and he does his best to promote it whenever he can. Sammy is the captain of his cross country team, and has held the position of Dorm Council Treasurer and Vice President. He recently engaged his community to donate 3,000 pairs of shoes to send back to an orphanage in Kenya.
