An avid outdoorsman, Sam co-founded and led his school's outdoors club on rafting, backpacking, and hiking trips. His love for nature has led him to take part in the Earth Lovers Recycling Club, and helped lead an effort to recycle at multiple cross country meets in his home town. Sam was also Student Body President and a founding member of his school's Fans of Old Films. Sam enjoys hiking, fishing, and jamming out to the Allman Brothers Band.
