Mariana Ossa

Mariana is passionate about animal rights, culture, and promoting social equality. As the vice president of the Spanish club at her school, Mariana enjoyed spreading the Spanish culture around her community because it helped bond people together, provide them with a sense of identity and it taught her the importance culture plays in our society. Her goals for the year are learning a new language, connecting with others and learning from them to build relationships. She would also like to develop a new hobby or work on something that is of real interest to her to push her out of her shell. Her favorite quote is "Climb the mountain not to plant your flag, but to embrace the challenge, enjoy the air and behold the view. Climb it so you can see the world, not so the world can see you." -David McCullough Jr.
