Ashley Trejo

Ashley is participating in Global Citizen Year through our partnership with the Tufts 1+4 program. Ashley is passionate about helping others, global health, and traveling. She has been involved in other service projects- taking her to Kenya and Cuba-, has been involved in social justice conferences nationwide, and has served as a mentor to younger students since her first day of high school. Her goals for the year are to fully immerse herself in the culture she will co-exist with, create bonds with the people she encounters, and hopes to prosper alongside India. Fully immersing oneself and becoming apart of a community one hopes to help is such important work that benefits the two-"There are a lot of people who will give money and materials, but very few who will give time and affection." ~Daniel Keyes
