Teaching in Ecuador

Work with and learn from organizations doing some incredible work for women and girls in Ecuador. Past Fellows have apprenticed at shelters for women and children escaping domestic violence, with international NGOs for girls leadership, and with local organizations supporting women's financial independence.

Charlotte worked at a shelter for women and children escaping domestic violence.

"Some stay for one night–others stay for years. All of the people who pass through benefit from the safe, private space where they can begin the process of healing."

Leah worked with an international NGO focused on girls' health, education, and empowerment.

"I’ve learned a huge amount about the situation of girls in Ecuador. I’ve learned about domestic violence and teenage pregnancy and about so many initiatives to educate teenagers and parents about sex."
