We have a need-blind admissions process. We offer need-based financial aid and are committed to making our gap year program accessible to ALL students. Give us your best guess on how much financial aid you might need. Don't worry if your guess is a little off - you can update it later. College Partnerships

We have some exciting college partnerships, some of which offer financial support toward your Global Citizen Year. Please review and refer to website links for more details.

Global Citizen Year --> University-Administered Gap Year Programs

  • Tufts University 1+4 Bridge Year Service Learning Program: Global Citizen Year partners with Tisch College at Tufts to offer our global immersion year to students who have been admitted to Tufts University and the 1+4 Program, which meets full financial need.Contact Tufts University for more information.
  • University of North Carolina (UNC) - Chapel Hill:  If you are admitted to UNC-Chapel Hill Early Decision you can apply to become a Global Gap Year Fellow and earn a $16K merit award toward the cost of your Global Citizen Year.

  • Duke University: If you are admitted to Duke University you can apply for a Gap Year scholarship ($5K to $15K), which Global Citizen Year will then match.

Global Citizen Year → College Scholarships

  • Dickinson College Public Service Fellowship: If you are admitted to Dickinson College and successfully complete a Global Citizen Year, you will be eligible for a $10,000 tuition credit.

  • Quest University: Once you complete your Global Citizen Year, you will be eligible for a $5,000/year merit scholarship ($20,000 total) to Quest University.

We have partnerships with the Admissions offices at these excellent colleges and universities. These forward-thinking schools encourage students to consider taking a Global Citizen Year before arriving on campus, and they will defer your admissions offer and scholarship package for one year to allow you to join us!
